If you are fan of fun-filled cowboy themed events, you’ll have to add visiting Ruidoso to your fall to-do list. The 28th Annual Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium is coming up and will run through Oct. 13 through Oct. 15 at the Ruidoso Downs Race Track.
The Cowboy Symposium’s Western Expo in Ruidoso will entertain shoppers, offering cowboy themed apparel, gallon hats, unique jewelry, and more.
Although shopping will be a major focus of the event, there will be plenty of more things to do for people of all ages. Looking for musical entertainment? You can check out one of three stages that will be playing live country music, including headliner, Chrystal Gayle.
You’ll be able to shop at over 110 booths, offering a variety of different offering a variety of different items from home décor to necklaces.
If shopping isn’t going to keep the kids entertained, you can visit Old West storytellers, historians, poets, cooks, western artists and more. There will also be cowboy competitions, horse demonstrations, Western swing dancing and more. Children will also be able to enjoy a kids rodeo along with other educational activities.
The Chuckwagon Competition has been featured on the Food Network’s All American Festivals and the Cowboy Challenge, and the winners will be taking home a lot of money. Judges will choose the most delicious, authentic and mouth-watering cuisine, based on participants barbecue and attire!
